I grew up in Mahuma, Curaçao, on the edge of a dry forest. That landscape was my playground. It is also where my connection to nature began — and where the urgency to protect it took root.
That connection led me to environmental science, and eventually to the systems that determine how we protect nature. Governance, institutional coordination, and how environmental commitments move from policy to implementation.
I bring 16 years of experience across the Dutch Caribbean. As former Senior Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Planning on Curaçao, and projectleider at the Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire, I know the institutions, the decision-makers, and the landscape. I have led multi-year restoration programmes, including the EU RESEMBID funded Klein Curaçao restoration project.
I also know where things break down. Good frameworks. Weak follow-through. Programmes that deliver reports but not results.
That gap is what Beyond Impact BV is built around. Not advising on it. Closing it.

Even after an engagement ends, we remain available as a backup. If questions come up, if the context shifts, or if you need a second opinion — we are reachable. But the intention is clear: by the time we leave, you should not need us anymore.
